Claude Gassian’s career as one of the world’s top music photographers started in the early 70’s. He photographed many of the legends, including Hendrix, Bowie, Dylan, The Doors, The Who, and The Rolling Stones. Since then, he has shot nearly every famous musician including many of today’s top artists. You can be sure to find many of his subjects in your music collection.
This new exhibition at the A.galerie in the Chatelain quarter of Brussels concentrates on all his images of the French musical scene. From Gainsbourg, Jane Birkin, Françoise Hardy to Mylene Farmer, Christophe, Carla Bruni, Vanessa Paradis and Dominique A. His last book containing all these images and many more is entitled Chanson(s) française and is available from FNAC, Amazon and other leading booksellers.
You can see some of the images in more detail below.
