Benoît Feron cares deeply about the future of the people, places and wildlife he has photographed, and he speaks about them with passion. He supports several humanitarian and charitable projects, including En Avant les Enfants and Comequi (active in Kivu, Congo), the Fournier Majorie Foundation, BIG against breast cancer and the Tchendukua Association.
His work on the human being, a quest for beauty in diversity, is in line with the approach of Sebastiao Salgado, who considers that "people are beautiful everywhere and everywhere they want to be represented with dignity".
He is the author of several books and has been widely exhibited in Belgium and France. In 2014 he organised a large exhibition in Brussels, which was very positively received by the press, "Portraits of the Rift". In 2007, he won the prize for the best photography awarded on the occasion of the exhibition Art for the Home at the Xavier Hufkens Gallery. In 2014, a jury chaired by the president of Sotheby's Belgium awarded the artist the prize for photography at another group exhibition organised in Brussels by Spot-U-Art.
In November 2016, Benoît was invited with 17 other photographers, including Yan Arthus-Bertrand and Sebastiao Salgado, to exhibit his work at the Loving Earth Festival organised by Hangar H 18 in Brussels.
His work "Elements -Terra Abstracta", dedicated to geography and other scarifications, those of the planet, is shown here at the A-Galerie Brussels.
