From the large format prints, some of which are aerial views, by Cyril Albrecht (recently exhibited at Contretype in Brussels) to the portraits of American writers met while driving across America, or even images taken from the American Solitudes series by Jean-Luc Bertini, this exhibition offers a varied view of the USA. Cyril Albrecht's work is primarily concerned with ecological and hydraulic problems, mainly in the southern United States. This is a large-scale work that is still in progress, as shown by his large format prints.
The dialogue with Bertini's portraits of the great American writers takes on a particular resonance, with images of Jim Harrison, Gary Snyder or Richard Ford, in two magnificent editions.
